Background
Alexandra Davidson is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner that works with patients of all ages at Fusion IFM. She holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Rutgers University School of Nursing where her doctoral work focused on improving healthcare providers’ management of polypharmacy in the primary care setting. Prior to this, Alexandra completed the accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Nursing. As a Fuld Fellow at Johns Hopkins, she participated in a leadership program for the advancement of patient quality and safety. Before obtaining her BSN, Alexandra earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a Minor in Spanish from Union College in Schenectady, NY.
Before joining Fusion IFM, Alexandra worked as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Lenox Hill Hospital and NYU Langone for over 6 years. She has experience providing care to patients throughout the lifespan – from birth as a NICU RN and certified Doula to years of experience in a hospice home and a clinical rotation in palliative care. Most recently, she has received training and mentorship under Dr. Frank Lipman and is working towards her certification as a functional medicine practitioner with The Institute for Functional Medicine.
Alexandra is a hardworking, dedicated professional committed to providing quality, compassionate, and holistic patient care. She believes in working with her patients to help them achieve the feeling of their best selves by offering a personalized approach tailored to individual goals, needs, and lifestyle. In her free time, Alexandra enjoys spending time with family/friends, cooking new recipes, yoga/pilates, and checking things off her “bucket list.”
